What We Do
Basic Literacy Training
We work to provide access to basic language, arithmetic and life skills to Kayayei(Head potters) through regular night education them. The basic goal of this project was to improve literacy skills among the vulnerable women in society and enable them to take advantage of opportunities and interventions designed to make their lives better. These interventions include family planning, skills development, and poverty reduction schemes including financial inclusion. To date about 15 women have benefitted from the basic literacy program.
Mentorship and Skills Training
We have been organizing regular mentorship for senior high school girls. We provide regular mentorship programs where they are provided with free career guidance and counseling, leadership skills development, IT skills, alternative skills development like soap making, bead making, pie baking etc.
Food Support and Outreach
We organize regular food support to assist over 2000 vulnerable people including orphans, the aged, the kayayeis, the prisoners etc. We also regularly assist people in the mental homes and the infirmary especially during major festivals like Eid, Christmas and Easter.
